“We hit an unexpected snag driving from NC to Philly and needed to stop. After calling multiple places, Wachapreague Inn was the kindest and most accommodating — and they welcomed us quickly, even with kids and a dog in tow. The room was clean and comfortable, and the restaurant across the street had the best crab cakes and gorgeous views. Their kindness and compassion meant so much during a stressful moment. I’d give this place more than 5 stars if I could!”

“Clean room, quiet area! Staff was friendly. The only negative i can come up with is the heat/ac situation.. it was 9pm when I finally arrived, outside temps was in the 40s. They use a dual head mini split system so if one room is set to AC, you cannot get heat into your room. Was a pretty chilly night, luckily there was an extra blanket, otherwise great place to stay!”

“This is our favorite place to stop on our way to outer banks. We take two days and travel with dogs, so this charming little retro motel with a dog park across the street and a lovely restaurant that allows dogs outside is just the ideal setting. The rooms are comfy, the showers are great, it’s just an ideal place for our needs. I would love to visit in the late winter/early spring to do some nature tours as the town is adorable. The staff are responsive and kind.”

“This is the second time we have stayed at this property while on a bicycling trip on the Eastern Shore. Rooms are clean and have all the necessary amenities. Staff is friendly and responsive to all requests. Property is across street from a seafood restaurant where you can get a good meal at a reasonable price.”
